As time progressed, and World War 2 begun, Asian Americans were seen as a threat. Many ended up in harsh conditions because of this, such as jail and many other unfair treatments, but this was not because of behavior issues, this was because Americans had fear towards the Asian Americans due to the fact that world war 2 was taking a toll on the Asian American reputation.
| It wasn't until the 1900's- 1950 that immigration for Asian Americans became more unjust. many of the immigration of Asian Americans when came over to the united states, for still, a promising future and a better life, and once again, this was not the case for them. Many Asian American women were used as prostitutes, or bought as wives for white Americans. There rights were very limited, and immigration for the porpose of a better life, was still not even close to accessible for them. Many of the Asian American many who took part in immigration ended up working in sweat shops, dealing with unacceptable conditions, and making far from any amount of money which could lead to a better life. This was a very disappointing time in American history, as well as for Asian American immigration. |
Immigration for Asian Americans has come a very long way since the 1800's. As of current, America has started closing doors to immigration, not allowing many people to enter the country. Although many have over the years, some worry about being sent back to there counties. But to clear this up, there is no need to worry about deportation as long as you have the documented proof that you are an American citizen.
